Barcelona to Host Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in the Spanish league over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced finished work included a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
