Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series title. Fans worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to do this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and Ice Cube driving a light blue classic car around the field.

The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, fans this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.
