Performer Refutes Anti-Vaccine Views Following Voicing Contentious Pandemic Documentary
The acclaimed actor has lent his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that questions the legitimacy of vaccines and lauds ex- health official RFK Jr.
The Film's Disputed Basis
Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is inspired by a popular book co-authored by a controversial scientist, who gained notoriety during the global outbreak for claims that the illness was a result of a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.
Her writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has penned books with conspiracy-prone radio host the Infowars host. The producer took to social media hailing Neeson's role in the documentary.
A Strong Denial
Representatives for Liam Neeson have issued a comment firmly refuting claims that he holds anti-immunization views.
"Everyone can recognize that misconduct may occur within the medical sector, but that cannot be confused with rejection of vaccines," the statement states. "He never has been, and remains not, anti-vax. His extensive work with the UN children's agency reinforces his long-held support for global immunisation initiatives."
The response continued that the actor did not shape the project's editorial content and that concerns about its assertions ought to go to the creators.
Key Assertions Featured in the Film
According to the documentary, the narration read by Neeson features several provocative statements:
- It states that pro-immunization voices have called for "complete compliance" to government bodies.
- It declares that "science has become deeply politicized."
- Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
- The film takes aim at Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused psychological harm that cost thousands of lives.
- On the topic of the immunizations, it mentions a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "dangerous experiments."
Previous Context and Ongoing Debates
The documentary also references a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was subsequently the subject of a BBC apology by the network for editorial breaches.
Recently, the political figure instructed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its official position that there is no link between vaccines and autism. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, even with a new report from the World Health Organisation reiterating no such link has been found.
A Past Position of Advocacy
Standing in contrast to the documentary's message, Neeson has in the past expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his capacity as a Unicef global ambassador.
Previously, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," stating that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in history."
The film ends with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This isn't the end of our journey. Rather, it is the beginning of a new chapter."
