Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane touched down based on standard protocol and all passengers, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels when the incident occurred.

This incident is not the first time that a US military aircraft ferrying a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to return to the US capital after suffering a mechanical problem.
